The Best Simple Pizza Dough

Discovering that you have food intolerances may entail eliminating certain foods from your diet, which can be disheartening, especially if pizza is a significant part of your regular food intake, like ours.

It can also be difficult if your diet relied heavily on gluten-based foods such as pasta, noodles, breads, and cereals. In most cases, symptoms cannot be relieved by enzyme tablets.

You will need:

  • – 1 ½ cups warm water
  • – 2 tsp yeast
  • – 2 ½ plain flour, plus extra for dusting
  • – 1 tsp olive oil
  • – Pinch of salt and sugar (optional
  •

Method:

  1. In a small mixing bowl or jug, mix the water and yeast together. Allow it to sit for five minutes until it begins to foam.
  2. To prepare the mixture, put flour and salt in a big mixing bowl and create a hole in the middle. Add sugar only if desired.
  3. Mix the yeast mixture and oil together. First, use a fork to combine them, and then use your hands to form a dough.
  4. Place the dough on a surface that has been lightly floured, and apply a light coating of oil to the bowl where it was previously located.
  5. To make the dough soft and stretchy, knead it for about 10-15 minutes and then put it back in the bowl.
  6. To allow the dough to rise, cover it with either cling film or a tea towel and leave it for at least 30 minutes until it has doubled in size.
  7. After it has risen, take out the dough and knead it again on a surface with a light dusting.
  8. If you are making two or three smaller pizzas, divide the dough into the appropriate amounts. Then, roll each one into your desired size and thickness using a floured rolling pin. It’s okay if they are not perfectly round because it will give them a more homemade appearance.

To make a pizza in your wood-fired outdoor oven, first, add your preferred toppings and then bake it on high heat for about 10 minutes. You can also add Italian mixed herbs, garlic, or chili flakes to the dough for added flavor. If you want, you can freeze the dough by putting it in a polythene bag. You can make double the quantity so that you can defrost it and satisfy your pizza craving anytime.
